What customers say?

“ Went to the Orangery for the first time today for a special family birthday/festive treat and was blown away. Setting and decorations were beautiful, as was the attention to detail. The staff were friendly and helpful and having the historical guide present to explain the history of the room and abbey was a lovely touch. We had the Dickensian afternoon tea and it was exceptional. Lots of different themed items to try and every one was delicious. Probably the best afternoon tea we’ve ever had. Will definitely be back! ”

“ Visited for drinks and snacks was served by a lovely young man called Andrei who was very quick to take our Oder and seat us. All staff were busy and it was a lovely chilled atmosphere. Definitely will come again, just wished we had gone later to try the Christmas stalls and food. Will recommend to others. ”

“ Booked afternoon tea on Saturday afternoon with my mum and sister. Seated really quickly and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The savoury items were very different from a standard afternoon tea. A charcoal bun with egg mayonnaise, a beetroot bun with smoked salmon and cream cheese , a coronation chicken sandwich on a spiced bread and a side of chilli jumbo prawns- all very tasty if a little unusual (especially the spiced bread which was a little like gingerbread). Lovely scones with a citrus taste with jam and cream followed by 6 individual mini desserts, especially loved the mini panna cota with a caramel sauce and the profiterole. Excellent value for money and we took home those desserts we couldn't manage on the day. ”
